This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a programme of high profile civic events such as Black History Month, International Women’s Day and Pride and ceremonial events and activities that mark key moments such as Remembrance Day. These events will promote an inclusive open vision of Lewisham Council, a greater understanding of the borough’s history and celebrate its diverse communities. You will engage with a range of stakeholders including our Culture and Diversity Forum to achieve this vision.
You will sit within Lewisham Council’s Culture Team who are responsible for the delivery of our 2021 Borough of Culture programme of events. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience during this time to help you in your future career.
This role is suitable for anyone who is interested in providing project management support within the cultural sector and wants to ensure diversity an inclusivity.
This apprenticeship is for 18 Months. You will attend college one day a week and work the other four days in the office.

To be eligible for a position on the Apprenticeship scheme you must
Be over the age of 16 (there is no upper age limit)
Be a Lewisham borough resident (the electoral register will be used to verify this information)
Have full residency entitlement, there must be no restrictions on your status in the UK (all successful candidates will need to produce their passport once a job offer is made)
Have the minimum number of qualifications required as stated in the relevant job description (all potential applicants will be expected to attend an initial assessment session).
